Have you thought about how to enjoy your Thanksgiving meal while consuming fewer calories? Try these recipe substitutions.
It is possible—and you won’t even feel deprived. In addition, you’ll have more energy and feel good.
Now is the time to make a plan so that gives you the outcome that you want. The good news is that you have lots of choices:
1. Eat all the traditional foods and recipes that are your favorites. The key, watch your portions. Slow down and enjoy every bite while having just one plate of food.
2. Try “lighter” recipes. My favorite sweet potato recipe comes from CookingLight.com. It has been my “go to” healthier recipe source for years.
3. You can lighten your favorites with recipe substitutions.

Of course you can decide not to do anything differently on Thanksgiving. Before you do, think about it– do you really want to eat until you are unconscious? Pass out on the sofa for the rest of the day with no energy? Some people do. Personally, I think you’ll like making healthier choices, and still appreciate a great meal.
